All you need to know to succeed with lucerne.
Lucerne (alfalfa) is one of the most valuable and widely
grown forages in the world.
Lucerne is a temperate, perennial legume, able to produce
forage throughout the year, with its main production periods
being in the spring, summer and autumn.
It is high yielding, has good forage quality, is adapted
to wide climatic variations and will grow on a range of soil types.
It is able to "fix" its own nitrogen, and in turn builds
soil fetility and procides protein-rich feed for animals.
